safe at home Blanket
A colorful GEOMETRIC blanket of houses to Knit or crochet
Yarn substitution and additional Color Schemes
This blanket, like all my designs, can be worked in any worsted weight yarn. Below are four color schemes for Safe at Home in Cascade 220 Superwash. Design Inspired is very close to the original colors. The other 3 color schemes are inspired by blankets knitters posted on my facebook group. I worked with Amy Gunderson on putting these together for offer as kits on Jimmy Beans Wool. Buy the yarn kit here.
an exciting and colorful blanket to knit or Crochet in the colors shown or from your stash
This colorful blanket was designed just as the coronavirus was getting started and finished just as we were all asked to stay at home for our own safety and that of others.
It is available as a knitting pattern and crochet pattern.
Buy a Yarn Kit in Cascade 220 Superwash from Jimmy Beans. There are several curated colorways including Designer Inspired (pictured on this page), Beachy, Softly and Summer Day. Note, the yarn kit does not include the pattern. These kits work for either this Knitted, or the Tunisian Crochet version of the blanket.
Knit version
The knit version is worked in garter stitch using a bit of intarsia, and some pick-up and knit. Its horizontal strips are sewn together.
