Braided pinwheel pillow knitting pattern

Cables don’t always have to go in just one direction as in this fun pillow inspired by a pinwheel. This pillow is knit in two pieces, which are seamed together with a zipper applied to the bottom edge. Each side is composed of four blocks that are worked modularly by picking up stitches along the side of the previously completed block.

Snowflake ornaments Knitting pattern

Festooned with large diamonds, bobbles, lace and an embroidered embellishment, this blanket/wrap will satisfy your senses while it keeps you warm. It looks complicated but is made from a few simple techniques, all clearly described.

Finished Sizes The wrap version is 22 inches wide (or multiples of 11 inches) by 72 inches long. The blanket version is 66” by 72” (168 cm x 183 cm). The gray sample is 22 inches x 72 inches (56 cm x 183 cm). The red sample is 44 inches by 72 inches (112 cm x 183 cm).

mitered square baby afghan/lap robe knitting pattern

This is a modern-look, easy, baby or lap blanket with 20 separately knitted, mitered squares that are sewn together. A border is added after assembly. This blanket is knit entirely in garter stitch. With its separate squares, and simple instructions, this makes a fantastic 'take-along' project. And check out the additional photos for other design ideas that are possible with mitered squares.

Finished Size 40" x 50" (102 x 127 cm). A square blanket can be made from this pattern by omitting one of the short rows, resulting in a 40" (102 cm) square finished size.

The back has its own cables. The bodies of the animals are worked in a combination of intarsia and duplicate stitch. The features and outlines of the animals are added with a crochet hook or needle. Pinwheels decorations are embroidered. There are sewn seams. Instructions are included for an adorable zebra that can replace any of the five other animals.
